Organisers of the Event Technology Awards (ETA’s) have announced the agreement of industry partnerships with four major trade associations. The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA), the International Specials Events Society (ISES) and the Exhibition Services and Suppliers Association (ESSA) have all confirmed their official support of the awards, with each of the four representing distinct sectors relevant to the overall events industry.
The AIF represents a number of significant independent music festivals from across the UK, whilst the NOEA will provide direct contact with some of the leading outdoor suppliers and organisers within the industry. The ISES and ESSA agreements will respectively give the awards valuable coverage on an international level and within the exhibition industry.
Claire O’Neill, General Manager of AIF said
“In an area as volatile as the festival sector, innovation and forward thinking are key ingredients to a successful event. New technology is often at forefront of changes in these areas and year-on-year we see our members leading the way, as early adopters adapting to the times to enhance audience experience.
AIF is very happy to partner with the Event Technology Awards to celebrate innovation and keep our independent festivals flexible and looking to the future.’
The NOEA General Secretary Susan Tanner said:
“Technology is a fast developing part of the outdoor events industry, so forming a partnership that provides our members with access to the latest developments is a major development for our organisation.”
The ISES Operations Manager Toni Griggs said:
“ISES works closely with many high-profile events and agencies that are always looking to push the boundaries of their content and operations. Understanding how technology is driving those elements is crucial to them staying at the cutting edge of their industry.”
ESSA Director Chris Skeith said:
“We’re very pleased to have formed this strategic link with the Event Technology Awards. Many of our members have been heavily involved in the development of new technologies relating to the industry, so to see them acknowledged by these awards is very satisfying and a reflection of how important the subject is viewed by event professionals.”
The Event Technology Awards Ceremony and Conference will take place on the 15th November at Supernova Events Venue London
