EventIgnite was launched last year by Thomas Walczak and John Robson. It all started back in the middle of 2012 at a networking event when John and Thomas first met. Thomas had developed an event networking app that could run in any device and John was looking for something to enhance his company offering (John is the managing director of the technical production company Aztec Event Services). After a brief courtship they decided to set up a
new company with a trading name of EventIgnite.
As the conference app developed and the platform enhanced, they identified an additional opportunity – digital signage for events. This could be achieved quite simply by outputting content such as seminar programme to a screen as well as a mobile device. And by default, the signage is truly interactive. Since then, they have worked tirelessly to develop a comprehensive digital signage solution for events.
So what does EventIgnite Digital Signage do?
It controls rich, time-sensitive content on large screens at events, giving event marketeers and sponsors exciting new ways to engage attendees.
Starting from a single screen outside a seminar theatre showing time-sensitive agenda, to a multiple-screen feature in a central networking area showing what’s on right now across the entire show, EventIgnite displays dynamic content that is always up to date. It offers exhibitors, organisers and sponsors a new and attractive communication vehicle that encompasses the entire event.
EventIgnite is the easiest way to show dynamic, branded screens. For example, it can display the conference agenda or “Top 10 things to do here” or “Sessions coming up next”, to name a but a few, at the entrance, at the networking bar or next to the conference theatres. In fact anywhere with a network point or wifi network.
EventIgnite Digital Signage is the perfect way for attendees to discover interesting conference sessions, activities around the show and the most relevant exhibition stands. With many screens showing time-sensitive content, positioned in strategic places on the show floor, EventIgnite creates new, exciting engagement opportunities for both exhibitors and sponsors facilitating new revenue streams for event organisers.
EventIgnite screens can be fully branded, can
-broadcast scheduled “Breaking News” announcements
-show moderated Twitter feeds and promoted Tweets from sponsors and speakers
-show full-screen posters, video and even display wayfinding information
And organisers can select the relevant features according to the needs of their event.
All screens are set up with the content beforehand and if any last-minute updates are needed, they are as easy as updating Facebook and be actioned from any web-enabled device. The changes go live instantly and all screens are always up-to-date.
The future for EventIgnite is bright with very exciting new developments being planned for 2014 which will increase the interactivity for users, and see a solution that can be implemented anywhere in the world whilst being controlled and managed from the UK.
